Inspirations Of Art is first of all a workspace for locals and visitors to drop in and work on their art and a a classroom for art education. They’re also a hub and meeting place for area artists and artisans, plus they offer business networking retreats. Resources for those taking advantage of drop-in hours include use of equipment like paper cutters, sewing machines, irons, screen printing machines, cutting mats, paper punches, awls, stencils, and specialty scissors as well as their on-site reference library–all for a low hourly rate. Artists who purchase a membership enjoy access to additional amenities. Classes here include traditional ones such as painting and sewing, but they also offer more unusual options like felting, gourd carving, and origami classes. Don’t miss their resident artist, photographer Becky Bunting, or seasonal activities like the nature walk watercolor classes.

If your children are interested in crating or fine arts, Inspirations Of Art also has a youth summer camp. Kids in first grade or higher can visit in the afternoon in late July and enjoy activities including gourd masks, mirror and frame decorating, and paper bead necklaces, among others.

Inspirations of Art supporting the community, using crafting and fine arts to help local individuals through group projects. They hold one studio day per month for members to join together on a project of their choice, and this project is donated to a community service group. They have made quilts for a local hospice, baby blankets for the Children’s Hospital, knitted caps for Devos Children’s Hospital, hand-stamped cards for military personnel, squares for the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative, pillowcase dresses for the Haitian earthquake relief effort, and squares for Quilts of Valor, among others.
